Great idea! Its been raining really good over the past month or two here in Southern California so Ive been collecting my rain in a few trashcans. Even in L.A . they fill up quick! I use them for watering all our flowers. It should last quite a long time.

We have no hose access in NYC so rain barrels are the only way I can easily water my garden (Mother Nature does a good job too). Hurrah for the barrel! Actually I don't have a barrel, I just have random buckets, but they work...
