Apparently the Russian airline industry likes Duct Tape as well. Recently flew from St Petersburg to Moscow and a fellow traveler swore he saw a patch of it on the wing.

Aeroflot? Duct tape does work well on smooth surfaces.

There's a high-performance tape made for temporarily sealing aircraft exteriors. It's used all over the world. That's probably what your friend saw, Larry. As for Gorilla Tape, it's great stuff. I keep one roll in the truck and one with my tools. I've found the Gorilla brand especially useful in exterior applications. It seems to be unaffected by weather.
